Personas
November 25, 2024
We sat down together as a team and looked at the collected data we gathered from our forms we sent out to our acquaintances. We could clearly see a pattern which was that the people we interviewed had a positive attitude to the possibility of an app that kept them updated on Malmö's environmental parking. And that they had a positive view on the city of Malmö's initiative of keeping the streets clean with monthly cleaning days.
We discussed as a team the idea of how our subjects would be like. What age group they belong to, what kind of characteristics, likes and dislikes they have. We used the personas examples from the lecture as a guide in the process of creating our characters. Based on the data that we had collected, we wanted to create two more realistic personas that our demographic group could relate to.
Frida Gillesson
- One of our personas was Frida Gillesson that has the most similarities of the data we collected. We decided that she would be in her 30s, having a hectic lifestyle living in the center of Malmö. She is someone who has great ambition and a positive outlook on life and is passionate about the environment. We found that this age group and urban lifestyle are most likely to use our app.
Gösta Havesson
- Gösta Havesson, on the other hand, is a character who is quite the opposite of Frida. Together as a group we discussed, on how we visualized a stubborn person who is reluctant to new technology and Gösta came to mind. We started to brainstorm, trying to make a story of a grumpy old man who is not interested in smart solutions, but rather relying on peoples' common sense. We gave him the traits as an introvert, analytic and unconcerned about the environment. The reasoning behind this is to challenge us on how we could reach people with our parking solution “Parkly,” that has a common mindset like our character Gösta.
