I. User Stories

Frida Gillesson

Gösta Havesson

We conducted our research via channels in our nearby vicinity of car owners and commuters. We then compiled and analyzed them and found that we were able to create two personas which are fully usable. Further we learned that they are appropriate for representation of users across the entire spectrum of our test subjects. The results of the research we conducted is manifested in these two personas since we feel that they embody a wide range of potential users and we found that there was a need for a diverse and flexible parking app solution.

On the one end of the spectrum we have created the persona of Frida, a 32 year old woman, a professional, she is tech-savvy, career minded and concerned about the environment, thus she welcomes the advent of such a solution which caters to the environmentally conscious commuter/car owner. From Fridas perspective the benefits of Parkly are doubtless environmentally motivated as well as it would provide assistance when parking spaces are limited on environmental/cleaning days.

On the other end of the spectrum we have chosen to create the persona of Gösta, a man in his sixties, working class, he is less proficient in the use of modern technology, especially computers, than average and in favour of a user friendly solution. From his perspective, the benefits of Parkly are more to cater to his parking needs rather than being environmentally motivated.

The motivation for these two personas and everyone in between to use Parkly, regardless of the level of their technical ability, would be to appreciate a way to conduct their parking activities with the help of an application that has a hassle free set up and lets the user operate it with as little complexity as possible. The app instructs and informs with clear and easy to understand navigational features such as colorized mapping and geographical UI reminiscent of other widely recognized apps.

II. Storyboards

December 04, 2024

When we designed the storyboards, we first had to decide what type of story to tell and how to present it. We did not know if it was to be presented through a comic, video. Ultimately we decided on making a comic out of it, both because it could quite easily be presented and created as well as being something that could be understood by a majority of people. We wanted the stories to be grounded and realistic to make them as relatable as possible. That's why motivation, context and the goal was very important to lift and be clear. The two distinct personas needed stories that were uniquely different from one another, yet still familiar and relatable.
